Qualification Details

Class time is 10:30am - 12:30pm
Students are encouraged to arrive at 10:15am am for a 10:30am start time.

This is NOT a First Time First Aid course.

When enrolling, you will need to provide evidence that you have previously completed HLTAID012 (First Aid), prior to attending. If you have not previously completed First Aid, you will not be able to attend this course.

What to wear:                  Comfortable clothing. You will need to be able to complete CPR assessment requirements which does include kneeling on the floor so nothing restrictive.
What to bring:                  Photo ID and a screenshot of the satisfactory online quiz overall result.

If you are ill, or presenting flu like symptoms, please do not attend on the day. Email our administration and we can reschedule your booking.

If you arrive to the session sick, the trainer will turn you away.

IMPORTANT: A part of your practical assessment, you MUST be able to perform all the following:

• performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor
• performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on a child resuscitation manikin placed on the floor
• performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR (5 cycles both compressions and ventilations) on an infant resuscitation manikin placed on a firm surface

To be deemed competent you must be able to do all the above cardiopulmonary resuscitations satisfactorily.
If you are physically unable to complete resuscitation (on the floor) you will not be able to attend the practical class and complete your certification.
