Qualification Details

This class is ideal for first time First Aid students.
If you have not done a first aid class before than this is the class for you.
Please not that this class does include CPR as well.

Class time is 10am to 3pm.
Students are encouraged to arrive at 9.45am for a 10am start time.
You are more than welcome to bring a snack as there will be a short break time during the day.

If you are ill, or presenting flu like symptoms, please do not attend on the day. Email our administration and we can reschedule your booking.
If you arrive to the session sick, the trainer will turn you away.

 IMPORTANT: A part of your practical assessment, you MUST be able to perform all the following:

• performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor
• performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on a child resuscitation manikin placed on the floor
• performing at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR (5 cycles both compressions and ventilations) on an infant resuscitation manikin placed on a firm surface

To be deemed competent you must be able to do all the above cardiopulmonary resuscitations satisfactorily.
If you are physically unable to complete resuscitation (on the floor) you will not be able to attend the practical class and complete your certification.
